Its January 2025. What a great time to bare my soul to strangers on the internet, eh?
Welcome to my Substack, first off. I am thrilled you are here. Even if you only read three words. Lovely to meet you. My name is Jenni Schierman.
I’m not sure about you, but the last few years have been rough. For a variety of reasons. They have also been absolutely filled with growth, amazing moments and life changing experiences. I left my home country (US) in 2023 and moved to Spain. It was one off the hardest things I have ever done but I am so glad I made the decision to try living in another country.
Last year I really made an effort to be more authentic. In my personal life, in my coaching, and it has made an incredible impact on how people respond to me. As I approached 2025 and thought about what I wanted, more authenticity was on the top of that list. Which is how I ended up here.
What I hope to achieve:
Authenticity isn’t just a fancy buzzword to me. I hope it isn’t to you either. It lays the groundwork for psychological safety. Allowing people to see the “real you” isn’t an easy thing. We are taught from a young age to fit in, to go along, and to not go against the standards in society. Not very authentic of us. It takes a lot of courage to begin to unwind those things you have been taught in order to explore who you are at your core.
I hope we can do a bit of this exploring together. Sometimes it can be less scary if you have a friend there to check out that new place with you.
How often will I show up here?
That is a fantastic question. Thanks for asking. In order to show up in all the places I need to, lets say you can expect one post monthly, but you may also be surprised with the occasional additional post or posts. Posts will likely be sent on Friday mornings.
Some of my current special areas of interest are psychology, women’s health, social issues, dogs, baking, performance coaching, and adhd/autism in women.
You may see some posts on these topics as well as other areas that catch my eye.
I look forward to connecting with all of you soon.
Authentically,
Jenni
